Instruction
Lili Zohar has been a practitioner of yoga for more than thirty years. For the last six years she has deepened her focus and practice by studying extensively. Her study includes work with Tias Little of the Prajna (Wisdom) tradition, steeped in the study of the Iyengar and Ashtanga lineages. Lili, a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance has completed hundreds of hours of teaching and 400 plus hours of training, including the Levels 1-3 and the Prenatal segments of her certification with Tias Little's Yoga Source in Santa Fe, (2004-2006) and independent study on the Chakras and Yoga (2006) as well as a 200-hour training with the Denver Institute of Yoga (2003).
In addition to offering private sessions and classes at Samadhi Center for Yoga and the Cherry Creek Athletic Club studios in Denver, Colorado, in 2007 (Circle of Excellence Award Winner in 2007), Lili offered yoga to conflict resolution professionals from around the world at the Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative, (Cambridge, MA, July 2007) and at The Annual Meeting of the Association of Conflict Resolution, (Phoenix, AZ, Oct. 2007).
Lili teaches yoga as a method of opening to the fullness of life, encouraging her students to be and grow more present and awake in each moment. She thus inspires them to tap into a place of creativity and flow from a deep connection to the body, mind and breath in each posture. Continued practice of these time-tested postures, meditation and breath practices increases the ability to relax. Lili integrates into her teaching the Vedic scriptures, insights from the study of Kabbalah, Buddhism, and Sufiism, as well as poetry readings from the world’s great wisdom traditions. Lili's classes are a vinyasa style that includes a meditative flow of movements and consciously aligned postures, integrating breath practices and meditative focus with a challenging and joyous physical workout.
